UNPRI Supports Traditional PACU JALUR Competition in Riau Province
Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) as one of the quality universities in Indonesia is the only university in the North Sumatra region that provides higher education services outside the North Sumatra Province, namely in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province.
"This proves that UNPRI is committed to assisting the government in accelerating access to higher education services throughout Indonesia," said the Chancellor of Universitas Prima Indonesia Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes accompanied by the Director of UNPRI PSDKU Pekanbaru Prof. Dr. Ibnu Hajar Damanik MSi and Deputy Director of UNPRI PSDKU Pekanbaru Dr. Salim Aktar MPd to reporters, Sunday (3/9/2023).
The Chancellor said that UNPRI has organized higher education services for Study Programs outside the Main Campus in Pekanbaru City starting in 2023 in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number: 545/E/O/2023 with 4 Study Programs, namely the Bachelor of Information Systems Study Program, Bachelor of Psychology Study Program, Bachelor of Management Study Program and Diploma Three Midwifery Study Program.
In an effort to provide information on higher education services at UNPRI-PSDKU Pekanbaru City, said Prof. Chrismis, UNPRI has carry out several collaborative activities with the Riau Provincial Government, Regency/City Governments throughout Riau Province and other Government Institutions and Private Institutions. Prof. Chrismis added, one of the things UNPRI did was to be directly involved in supporting the traditional boat rowing competition called PACU JALUR Kuansing-Teluk Kuantan in Riau Province.
"This shows UNPRI's commitment to being part of human resource development, especially in the field of traditional sports in Riau Province, as UNPRI's role in realizing Tri Dharma PT, especially in the fields of education and community service," he said.
In a separate place, UNPRI Founder Prof. Dr.dr. I Nyoman E. Lister, MKes, AIFM, SpKKLP, accompanied by the Head of BPH UNPRI Dr. Tommy Leonard SH MKn, expressed appreciation for the attention of Riau Province and its staff who supported the PACU JALUR Kuansing-Teluk Kuantan activity.
Prof Nyoman hopes that the presence of the PSDKU UNPRI Pekanbaru Campus will further facilitate access for people in Riau Province to pursue higher education in order to accelerate the development of human resources and the community's economy.
"The presence of PSDKU UNPRI in Pekanbaru will further complement the availability of educational services at the university level, as well as become a partner for existing universities in Pekanbaru City," hopes Prof. Dr. Nyoman E. Lister.
